它做不到的事 / What it doesn't do

Devices keep recording. L-06 only adds sound to what they pick up; it doesn't detect or affect any device.设备仍会继续录音。L-06 只是在录到的声音里加入掩蔽音，不会检测或影响任何设备。
Noise suppression on phones and apps can remove some, most, or nearly all of it.手机和应用的降噪功能可能去除部分、大部分乃至几乎全部掩蔽音。
The mask repeats every 20–30 seconds, so software working on a longer recording may estimate and remove part of it.掩蔽音每 20–30 秒循环一次，处理较长录音的软件可能估算并去除其中一部分。
Multi-microphone devices, later source separation, or a recorder close to a talker may still capture clear speech.多麦克风设备、事后声源分离，或紧贴说话人的录音设备，仍可能录到清晰语音。
It makes people in the room harder to understand too, and affects hearing aids, cochlear implants, and captions.它同样会让在场的人更难听清，并影响助听器、人工耳蜗和字幕。
It uses no microphone, so it can't check whether it's working. If you can't hear it, it isn't doing anything. Hearing it doesn't mean it's working.它不使用麦克风，无从判断是否起效。听不到它就没有作用；听得到也不代表有效。
It does nothing about calls, video, lip-reading, notes, or someone repeating what they heard.它对通话、视频、读唇、笔记或他人转述都没有作用。

Grade S · 合成推演

Grade S · 合成推演 (synthetic extrapolation): whether and how much it may degrade recording intelligibility is extrapolated from published speech-masking research, not from real-world tests of this mask. It has not been measured against any specific phone, recorder, app, or room. Real results may be weaker.

Masking depends on how loud the mask is versus speech at the recorder, distance and placement, the room, and the recorder's own noise suppression. Fluctuating, speech-like sound is usually harder to filter than steady noise, but it can still be filtered.

On iPhone the silent switch can mute the mask without warning. Check that you can hear it.·在 iPhone 上，静音开关可能在无提示的情况下使掩蔽音静音，请确认你能听到。

摆放 / Placement

Put the device between the group with its speaker uncovered; talk softly and sit close.设备置于众人中间，扬声器勿遮挡；轻声、靠近交谈。
It may degrade recording intelligibility more where the mask is loud compared with the talkers' voices. That same loudness makes people in the room harder to hear.掩蔽音相对说话声越响，越可能降低录音的可懂度；同样的音量也会让在场的人更难听清。

Disconnect earbuds and headphones first. This page can't tell if they're connected, and Bluetooth can switch on its own.

Everyone in the room knows a sound mask will play.在场所有人都知道将播放掩蔽音。
No one here relies on hearing aids, cochlear implants, or live captions that this would disrupt, or those who do have agreed.在场无人依赖会被干扰的助听器、人工耳蜗或实时字幕，或依赖者本人已同意。
No one here is making an agreed or required recording (such as consented minutes or a legally required record), or they've agreed to the mask. If anyone asks me to stop, I will. Recording laws differ by place.在场无人正在进行经同意或依规要求的录音（如经同意的会议记录、依法要求的录音），或其本人已同意播放掩蔽音；有人要求停止时我会停止。各地录音法规不同。
I understand any effect on recording intelligibility is modeled (Grade S), not measured on real devices, and may be small or none. Recording still happens.我理解它对录音可懂度的任何影响均为合成推演（Grade S），未在真实设备上测量，可能很小或没有；录音照常进行。
I'll use this device's speaker at moderate volume, with earbuds and headphones disconnected, and stop if anyone is uncomfortable.我会用本机扬声器以适中音量播放，已断开耳机，有人不适即停止。

Starts at Low and fades in over 3 seconds. Output is capped in software, but device volume still matters: keep it moderate and stop if anyone is uncomfortable.
